Atlanta, Ga (PRWEB) August 29, 2014

The Asian American Hotel Owner's Association (AAHOA) today announced a successful North Georgia Regional Conference on August 28 that met record revenue and garnered praise from esteemed Georgia-elected officials for its past and present successes and stability.

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Atlanta City Councilmembers Felicia Moore and Alex Wan all spoke at the AAHOA regional meeting and lauded AAHOA for its political action success, as well as its strength and focus in becoming the voice of hotel owners in the industry.

“In 1989, 12 men decided to establish an organization that has now become the largest voice of hotel owners in the industry,” said AAHOA Chairman Pratik Patel. “Our founding fathers worked hard to position AAHOA to where it stands today and it is rewarding to hear some of Georgia's highest elected officials affirm that we are making a difference.”

Sen. Isakson and Secretary of State Kemp both confirmed their support and admiration for an organization that takes such dedicated strides to lobby and educate elected officials on the matters that mean most to hoteliers and small business owners. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed noted that he remembered the city of Atlanta when it didn't boast such high population growth rates. AAHOA hoteliers received thanks from the mayor as he stressed the hospitality industry's role in making Atlanta the city that it is today. The regional conference also boasted record numbers in revenue, thanks to tremendous vendor support and attendance.

Founded in 1989, AAHOA is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with more than 12,500 small business owner-members. AAHOA members own more than 20,000 properties amounting to more than 40 percent of all hotels in the United States and employ nearly 600,000 workers, accounting for over $9.4 billion in payroll annually.
