Located in Orange County, Del Frisco's Grille opens its 13th location, offering a creative twist on American comfort cuisine

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Aug. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Del Frisco's Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the opening of its award-winning Del Frisco's Grille concept in Irvine, California, the heart of Orange County.  The opening, which took place August 9, represents the 13th Del Frisco's Grille to date, and the 42nd restaurant overall for Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, which also owns and operates Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House and Sullivan's Steakhouse.  Three more Del Frisco's Grille locations are slated to open by year's end in Rockville, MD; Tampa, FL; and Pasadena, CA.

Del Frisco's Grille, proud winner of the 2012 Nation's Restaurant News Hot Concepts Award, is known for its bold flavors and market fresh ingredients showcased in updated American classics for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.  The newest Del Frisco's Grille is located in the Irvine Spectrum Center, one of Orange County's most energized open-air shopping experiences, joining together a diverse collection of over 130 specialty stores, restaurants and entertainment venues.  It is located at the intersection of the 405 and 5 freeways, a favorite hub in Orange County.  Meeting demand for the popular concept among Southern California fans, this marks the second West Coast location for Del Frisco's Grille.  The first Pacific coast locale opened last July directly across the street from the iconic Santa Monica Pier.

"A large percentage of our loyal guests reside in California, and travel throughout the country, so our restaurants already have a strong following in California," said Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco's Restaurant Group.  "We are thrilled to bring Del Frisco's Grille closer to home for our friends in Orange County.  They know Del Frisco's Grille is the perfect place to come with a group – for a prime steak and outstanding glass of wine – or for a flatbread and a local beer."

Leading the culinary team is Juan Carlos Murillo, a veteran Orange County chef.  Chef Murillo and his staff have created appetizers and shareable plates including Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Ahi Tacos and Fire Roasted Artichoke with Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette, Parmesan and Black Pepper Aioli.  The Jumbo Lump Crabcake is a Del Frisco's classic, always baked and never fried – and finished with a Cajun Lobster Sauce.  A selection of flatbreads includes the Wild Mushroom with Caramelized Onions, Fontina Cheese, and Baby Arugula.  A collection of burgers, fresh seafood and signature steaks wet-aged for 28 days round out the menu along with a series of side dishes that includes a decadent Truffle Mac and Cheese.

Everyone is a morning person for Sunday brunch at Del Frisco's Grille which features favorites including Red Velvet Belgian Waffle with Whipped Vanilla Bean-Spiked Cream Cheese and Thick-Cut Hickory Smoked Bacon and The Grille Benedict with Poached Eggs, French Ham, and Scallion and White Cheddar Biscuits topped with Chipotle Hollandaise Sauce.

The Grille's calling card it its toast-worthy wine, which includes 300 regional and global vintages, creating an unparalleled and adventurous wine list, surprisingly more extensive than those found in a traditional bar and grill.  Signature cocktails, with eyebrow-raising names, such as Apt 5D, Kilt Lifter and The Morning After, are handmade and muddled using fresh ingredients.

The restaurant boasts warm wood accents and a striking "glass box" entryway that dramatically showcases the superb collection of wine.  Spanning 8,000 square feet, Del Frisco's Grille has a guest capacity of 290 for both indoor and outdoor seating.

Del Frisco's Grille at Irvine Spectrum Center, is open for lunch Monday - Friday from 11 a.m.4 p.m. and until 3 p.m. on Saturday.  Dinner is served Monday - Friday 4 - 11 p.m., 3 – 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 - 10 p.m. on Sunday.  Sunday brunch is served from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  For more information, please visit www.delfriscosgrille.com.
