DALLAS & BASEL, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Worksoft®, an SAP® partner and leading global provider of business process validation software for packaged enterprise applications, today announced that Coop, one of the largest Swiss retailers, has selected Worksoft software to enable migration from manual and script-based testing to an automated business process validation solution for SAP and other enterprise applications.

Coop Group, a Swiss cooperative comprising retail companies in Switzerland and wholesale companies in Switzerland and abroad, will use Worksoft to support its SAP Retail Industry solution which entails software for Customer-Centric Marketing and Merchandising, Sourcing, Buying and Private Label, Supply Chain and Omnicommerce Customer Experience.

Worksoft will help Coop quickly deploy technology changes by automating manual quality assurance tasks and validating that business processes will perform as expected, enabling Coop to streamline and shorten SAP projects to ensure continuous quality in end-to-end business processes.

“We selected Worksoft because it provides an easy-to-use, script-less solution that allows a large number of Coop business users to capture and validate end-to-end business processes across both SAP and non-SAP applications,” said Claude Brès, head of master data processes, Coop. “Worksoft's flexibility to support multiple technologies will help Coop gain efficiencies, lower operational costs, and reduce technology risk when we deploy new systems and updates,” he said.

Worksoft's industry-leading platform for automating end-to-end business process validation across the entire SAP landscape will support Coop's business processes spanning Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ERP), Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM), Human Resources (SAP HR), Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM), Global Trade Management (SAP GTM), Business Warehouse (SAP BW) as well as the Warehouse Management System (WAMAS) and a number of mobile, web, and Sharepoint-based systems.

“We are pleased to provide Coop with an offering that covers the full end-to-end business process including SAP, portal, cloud, and other enterprise systems. That's Worksoft's unique advantage for customers,” said Jim Kent, CEO, Worksoft. “When one system changes, Coop can be highly confident that the full business process will still work as intended, without any disruption to the business,” he said.

Worksoft will help Coop ensure their SAP strategy is successful by accelerating the speed and efficiency of their SAP implementation, upgrades and maintenance with test automation. Specifically, Coop will utilize Worksoft Certify in the quality assurance of enhancement pack upgrades, minor releases and weekly regression testing. Additionally, Worksoft will support technologies including SAP-GUI, SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Web Dynpro and SAP HANA, as well as automate the testing and validation of Coop's intranet and online shopping operations.
