The additions of newly developed Linear Bases for Flowserve Limitorque advances the MX and QXM non-intrusive actuators into the control and choke valve markets.

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 29, 2014

Flowserve Corporation FLS, a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, today announced it has developed a linear base that can easily attach to a Limitorque MX or QXM actuator for use in the electrical actuator control and choke valve markets. The Linear Base (LB) products are available in two sizes and can sustain valve thrusts up to 109 kN (25 000 lbs).

The Limitorque LB has been designed for the growing electrically actuated control valve market and offers the unique combination of a separate thrust base and linear base. This permits the user to remove the actuator separately, leaving the linear base and control valve in place, for easy servicing or modification.

For users requiring compliance with EN15714, Electric Actuators for Industrial Valves Requirements, the LB is designed to comply and can be fitted with an optional EN base in either ISO or MSS flanges. Standard stainless steel stems are available to meet customer load and speed requirements and customer specific stems can be manufactured to specification.

“The MX and QXM actuators are the work horse for the industry. Thereby adding the linear base attachment, these actuators can now be utilized in the growing control and choke valve markets," said Lynn White, General Manager, Flowserve Limitorque. “Limitorque products are leaders in the valve control market with an extensive network of sales and service support.”

Flowserve customers can order either the QXM or MX actuator with the appropriately sized LB and a suite of optional components and certifications. Limitorque is one of the first manufacturers with the LB designed to EN 15714 guidelines, and their stainless steel stems can be supplied as an option to meet its corrosion requirements. In addition, to supplement the introduction of the LB, both the QXM and MX modulating capabilities have been increased to a maximum 1800 starts per hour per IEC 60034, S4 rating.

When the applications demand a linear thrust device and reliable process control modulating performance, the Flowserve Limitorque LB, fitted to an MX or QXM, will meet the most challenging customer requirements.
