Cellcom Israel Announces LTE Network Launch

NETANYA, Israel, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Cellcom Israel Ltd. CEL CEL (hereinafter: the "Company") announced that the Company intends to launch its LTE network this Sunday (August 3, 2014), after having received today the Israeli Ministry of Communication approval (granted to other cellular operators as well) to use a 5MHZ 1800MHz frequency band (already in the Company's possestion) for its LTE network, under certain conditions, even before the completion of the previously reported 4G frequencies tender. The Company continues the rapid deployment of the network in order to acheive a wide and high quality deployment by the end of the year.
