CGI selected for SAP application management services

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - July 31, 2014) - CGI GIB GIB has been selected by Cameco, one of the world's largest uranium producers, to provide application management services for the company's SAP environment, including day-to-day software support as well as services for software enhancements and preventative maintenance.

The services will be delivered locally through CGI's SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) in Saskatchewan, which was opened in 2012 to establish a strong base of expertise for Saskatchewan companies. In addition, CGI opened its second Saskatchewan office in Saskatoon last February to support local companies like Cameco. Both the CoE and Saskatoon offices will add many high-tech jobs, driving economic growth and career opportunities for highly skilled IT professionals.

CGI uses SAP technology to build, implement and manage enterprise systems for companies across the globe. As a global SAP(R) services partner and with one of the largest SAP practices in the industry, CGI will work with Cameco to expand its systems capacity, improve service levels and responsiveness, and reduce risks using the latest SAP technology.
