Cognitive analytics company surges ahead amongst five leading software company finalists to win global event.

SparkCognition, the world's first Cognitive Security Analytics company, announced that it has won IBM's Innovate App Throwdown 2014 competition for the most innovative software application in the Linux on Power ecosystem. The results were announced to thousands of attendees at IBM's Innovate conference, held in Orlando, Florida, June 1 - 5. Finalists of the hotly contested competition included leading edge companies, such as Canonical, the developers of Ubuntu Linux.

SparkCognition's submission to the global IBM contest was its Cognitive Security Insights application (CSI). CSI is a Cloud-based, big data driven security offering that delivers machine generated security configuration for Cloud instances, physical and virtual machines to protect them from web attacks, exploits, scans and application-specific threats.
