Austin, Texas (PRWEB) June 04, 2014

The 2,100-acre master-planned community Travisso in Leander is making its stunning debut with a full month's worth of Italian-themed events, new homes from five respected builders and the “Biggest Tiramisu in Texas.”

The celebration, Festivo Travisso, will take place over three weekends in June, pausing only for Father's Day on June 15. Themed events will be held each weekend, as a different facet of Italian culture is celebrated beginning with Italian art and style on June 8, Italian music on June 22 and Italian cuisine (including the “Biggest Tiramisu in Texas”) on June 29.

Among the attractions will be renowned Austin artist Kerry Awn, local musicians Robert Schneider Sr., Oli Steck and Danny Levin; Italian sports cars from Maserati of Austin as well as local eateries including Coolhaus Austin.

The “Biggest Tiramisu in Texas” will be the centerpiece attraction, with more than 60 pounds of sponge cake, 140 quarts of Tiramisu filling, five pounds of cocoa and 40 man hours going into its creation.

“It's an opportunity for us to demonstrate to Austin residents just how special we feel Travisso will be,” said Tim Towell, division president of Taylor Morrison's Austin division, which is developing the community in partnership with Toll Brothers.

In addition to Taylor Morrison and Toll Brothers, Travisso will feature the homes of Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes and Grand Haven Homes. All five builders will grand open their model home collections during Festivo Travisso.

When finished, Travisso will include more than 2,900 home sites of various sizes marketed towards a wide array of buyers, more than 350 acres of open space, a trail system, pool and clubhouse and potential Leander schools. Home prices will range from the high $200,000s to the $800,000s.

“Travisso will offer Austin residents an opportunity to live in a premiere destination community and a chance to experience master-planned living of the highest quality,” said Brandon Cooper, assistant vice president for Toll Brothers' Austin division.

Situated in Texas Hill Country west of Austin and just north of Lake Travis, Travisso home buyers will find plenty of shopping and entertainment near the community, with Lakeline Mall, Round Rock Premium Outlets and 1890 Ranch Shopping Center all nearby. The 6,800-seat Cedar Park Event Center is a short drive from Travisso, as is the acclaimed Crystal Falls Golf Club.

In addition, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is less than 10 miles from Travisso, with three additional major hospitals within 20 miles of the community.

Employment centers are also close to Travisso, with the largest private employer in Austin, Dell, just minutes away and downtown Austin a convenient trip via Capitol Metro's new commuter rail station in Leander, which connects the community to downtown Austin. Local operations for Apple and Google are also within close proximity.
