Compuware to Provide Day-One Support for New Releases of IBM WebSphere MQ and CICS Transaction Server

DETROIT, June 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation CPWR, the technology performance company, today announced day-one support for two IBM releases: WebSphere MQ for z/OS, V8.0 (MQ V8) and CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.2 (CICS TS V5.2). Compuware's Mainframe Solutions enhance the value of IBM's System z platform by optimizing developer productivity, reducing costs and improving service quality throughout the application lifecycle.

The following Compuware solutions provide support for MQ V8:

• Abend-AID
• Hiperstation
• Strobe

Compuware provides support for CICS TS V5.2 with the following solutions:

• Abend-AID – CSS (ECC)
• File-AID for IMS/CICS
• Strobe
• Xpediter – CICS, Xchange, DevEnterprise

MQ V8 promises improved performance and scalability, enhanced security, increased connectivity, and updates to standards and currency, while CICS TS V5.2 boasts more service agility, operational efficiency and cloud enablement. Both releases are generally available tomorrow, June 13.
