Viscount Systems Adds Alexander J. Buehler to Board of Directors

BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Viscount Systems Inc., VSYS, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alexander J. Buehler to its Board of Directors. Mr. Buehler has served as Chief Financial Officer of Energy Recovery Inc. since May of 2011, a publicly-traded ERII company focused on the design and manufacturing of energy recovery devices.

Mr. Buehler's business experience includes strategic planning, sales and marketing, general management, and product development. Prior to joining Energy Recovery, he spent seven years in executive leadership positions at Insituform Technologies, Inc., (now Aegion Corporation; NASDAQ: AEGN), a global, leading supplier of water infrastructure technology and services for municipalities and the oil and gas industry. He held several executive-level positions in the U.S and abroad including Vice President of Europe where he was general manager for all operations.

Prior to joining Insituform, Mr. Buehler worked for five years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Serving in the Balkans, he acted as a project manager and oversaw the construction of basecamps that housed U.S. peacekeepers.

Mr. Buehler has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and three children.
