RADNOR, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Qlik, QLIK, a leader in user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting (DTC), announced the companies have signed a strategic agreement to offer the QlikView Business Discovery platform to Japanese-based organizations. The strategic relationship with Qlik allows DTC to combine the analytical capabilities and services of QlikView with DTC's deep industry knowledge to deliver the data driven business and corporate performance strategies that clients are demanding. Additionally, it enables DTC to put industry relevant and user-friendly solutions in the hands of business leaders in a timely manner, allowing them to utilize the information and explore and capitalize on the data.

Qlik and DTC's strategic agreement calls for key members of Deloitte's practice to focus on high priority industries including life sciences, health plans, and health care providers. Both organizations will make investments to further customize and build out QlikView capabilities to provide specific industry-aligned solutions while training additional Deloitte professionals to become QlikView developers.

According to analyst firm Gartner, Inc., the market for BI platforms in Asia Pacific is expected to grow 7.4 percent to reach almost US$1.4 billion in revenue in 2014 and more than $1.6 billion by 2017, as data discovery and mobility create a revival in spending by business users.1

Qlik's history of growth and innovation in the category of user-driven BI continues as customers want to move from passively receiving reports to actively participating in analysis. Fundamental to making next-generation BI accessible and useful for a broad range of users is QlikView's Natural Analytics™ approach, which taps into the natural human ability to process complex information. It supports the way human curiosity naturally searches, filters, questions, and finds associations in data to find meaning in information – more easily revealing insights and enabling decisions in the process.

“The fact that customers can be up and running with analytics insights in days or weeks with QlikView has been a key factor in our broad adoption across Asia Pacific,” said Phillip Beniac, Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific at Qlik. “Partnerships like this one with DTC are critical to our success as they help us further support users and provide the immediate insights, enterprise manageability and governance organizations require.”
