Teradata 2014 EPIC Awards Nominations Now Open, Recognizing Exemplary Data-Driven Businesses

DAYTON, Ohio, May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nominations are now being accepted through July 9 for the annual EPIC Awards given by Teradata TDC, the analytic data platforms, marketing applications and services company. Added this year will be two new EPIC Awards, one that recognizes Big Data Excellence and a second award that recognizes Innovation and Leadership. Winners will be announced at an awards celebration held during the Teradata 2014 PARTNERS Conference on October 19 to 23, 2014, in Nashville, Tenn.

The EPIC Awards recognize Teradata customers and partners for their ability to create competitive advantage from customer and business insights, and government agencies, for using data analytics to streamline operations and address constituent needs. Eligible organizations are those businesses or government agencies that have implemented a solution based on any Teradata or Teradata Aster analytic platform, or a Teradata marketing or analytic application. Teradata partner system integrators and independent software vendors that have completed an implementation with a Teradata customer are also eligible to nominate themselves or be nominated.

• Integrated View of the Business. Travelocity
• Operational Excellence. Unilever and Capgemini
• On the Edge. Southern California Edison and TROVE
• Big Data Excellence. (new for 2014)
• Innovation and Leadership. (new for 2014)

Systems Integrator Consulting Partners and Independent Software Vendors who have made outstanding contributions to Teradata and its customers, and who have demonstrated a proven commitment to driving business success through Teradata platforms, are also recognized. This year's partner award categories, and last year's winners, are:

• Big Data Intelligence. Cerulium Corporation (SI Consulting Partner) and Hortonworks (ISV Partner)
• Business Insight.  Cognizant Technology Solutions (SI Consulting Partner) and SAS (ISV Partner)
• Enterprise Intelligence. Capgemini (SI Consulting Partner) and Informatica (ISV Partner)
• Collaborative Demand. Accenture (SI Consulting Partner) and IBM Corporation (ISV Partner)
• Partner-Driven Wins. IBM GBS-BAO (SI Consulting Partner) and Microsoft Corporation (ISV).

Independent judges will evaluate customer nominations and determine winners and finalists based on the implementation's demonstrated strategic importance and impact to the business.
