HAWTHORNE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

OSI Systems, Inc. OSIS today announced that its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, has received an order for approximately $13 million from an international customer to provide Rapiscan Eagle® cargo and vehicle inspection systems.

OSI Systems CEO, Deepak Chopra, stated, “We look forward to providing this key customer with one of our advanced security inspection solutions. Our Eagle® cargo inspection line of products are available in multiple configurations on fixed and mobile platforms, which allows us to customize our offering to best suit the customer's requirements.”

The Company's line of Eagle® cargo and vehicle inspection systems are used by customs agencies, military organizations and homeland security worldwide providing outstanding image quality and threat detection, while improving the operational effectiveness of customers. Eagle® cargo and vehicle inspection systems use proprietary transmission X-ray technology that, unlike certain other inspection technologies, is able to penetrate well beyond the surface of a container or vehicle to provide comprehensive detection of threats.
