RADNOR, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Qlik, QLIK, a leader in user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), today announced that Siemens Building Technologies, a division of Siemens AG and the world leader in the market for safe and secure, energy-efficient, and environment-friendly buildings and infrastructures, is using the QlikView Business Discovery platform to analyze price data quickly and easily. QlikView is currently analyzing approximately 2.2 million records, enabling Siemens to create transparency on pricing structure, discount and rebate management in specific focus countries.

QlikView built its case at Siemens with its associative experience, in-memory technology, and collaboration capabilities, which enable users to ask and answer streams of questions on their own or in teams and groups, wherever they are working. The use of SQL queries also allows access to Siemens' SAP Business Warehouse data.

Based on the positive results Siemens has already achieved, it now plans to expand its use of QlikView in at least 10 countries and will analyze more than five million records.

“When we implemented QlikView, our goal was to make sales transactions more transparent so that we could analyze and derive faster and easier appropriate pricing strategies and decisions,” said Pedro Martinez Melgoza, Global Pricing Manager at Siemens Building Technologies.

“After we evaluated several BI vendors, Qlik was the clear choice because of its market-leading position in self-service BI. We look forward to expanding our use of the QlikView solution,” said Jürg Willi, Head CPS PIM and implementation program manager of the CPS Pricing Analytics Initiative, Siemens Building Technologies.
