TORCHMARK CORPORATION ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF CO-CHAIRMEN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MCKINNEY, Texas, April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Torchmark Corporation TMK announced today that Gary L. Coleman and Larry M. Hutchison were elected as Co-Chairmen of the Board of Torchmark effective upon the April 24, 2014 retirement of Mark S. McAndrew from the Board of Directors.  Mr. Coleman and Mr. Hutchison were elected to Torchmark's Board in August 2012, after having been appointed as the Company's Co-Chief Executive Officers effective June 1, 2012.
