Power Solutions International Strengthens Global Business Development Team With Strategic New Hires

WOOD DALE, Ill., April 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Power Solutions International, Inc. (PSI) PSIX, a leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of emissions-certified alternative-fuel and conventional power systems, today announced the appointments of Richard Nielsen and Peter Ridgen to its global business development team.

Richard Nielsen has accepted the position of Executive Vice President of Global Business Development, effective April 14, 2014. Mr. Nielsen most recently served as a Corporate Officer as well as the Executive Director of Industrial Sales and Marketing at Fuel System Solutions/IMPCO Technologies, Inc. FSYS, the alternative-fuel components and systems provider. For over a decade, he played a key role in building IMPCO's industrial business. Prior to assuming that position at the company in July 2012, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, beginning in October 2011. Mr. Nielsen joined IMPCO in 1998 as the Director of Sales and Marketing and rose to General Manager in January 2009.

Peter Ridgen has been named Senior Sales Manager – Asia. Mr. Ridgen most recently held the position of Senior Sales Manager for the Mobile Industrial Division of IMPCO Technologies Inc., a position he assumed in 2007. He was responsible for existing accounts and new business development in North America, China and Korea. Prior to joining IMPCO, Mr. Ridgen served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Curtiss Wright Controls, a Canadian aerospace components company. Previously he served as Sales Manager for Hypernetics Limited – Aerospace products.
