Weston and McGuirk to Speak at Satellite 2014 General Sessions

Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) March 07, 2014

ViviSat, the leading provider of in-orbit servicing, will showcase ground-breaking capabilities in satellite servicing technology at the Satellite 2014 Conference and Exhibition. The exhibition will be held on March 10 to March 13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. ViviSat, a joint venture of ATK ATK and U.S. Space, LLC, will display its unique products and services at Booth 3087 in the exhibit hall.

ViviSat representatives are featured on two panel discussions at Satellite 2014. Bryan McGuirk, ViviSat COO, will participate in a session titled, “Satellite Life Extension: From Science Fiction to Fact” on Wednesday, March 12 from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm.

ViviSat CEO, Retired Maj. Gen. Craig Weston joins industry experts on a panel titled, “New Space Actors: What They Mean for Markets and Government Policies” on Wednesday, March 12 from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm.

“Satellite 2014 stands out as the industry's foremost satellite show and a prime venue for ViviSat to display its satellite life extension service,” said retired Maj. Gen. Craig Weston, CEO of ViviSat. “Our focus at the event is to build relationships with potential customers, strengthen existing partnerships and showcase our industry leading satellite life extension technology.”

During the conference, ViviSat will highlight its innovative solution to prolong satellite life, save capital and protect fleet assets for operators. In addition to the general session presentations, the ViviSat team will be available at the exhibit booth to share information and introduce an animated video of the ATK-designed Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV). The primary mission of the MEV is to dock with an orbiting satellite and serve as its propulsion and attitude control systems. This enables mission extension for satellites that have run out of maneuvering fuel yet still have healthy payload and power systems.
