Waller Capital Serves as Exclusive Advisor to Identified on Sale to Workday

Waller Capital, a leading independent investment bank and advisory firm, today announced it has served as the exclusive financial advisor to San Francisco-based Identified on its sale to Workday WDAY, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for human capital management (HCM) and financial management.

Identified uses Big Data to help employers and recruiters search for and source highly attractive passive job candidates. At the core of Identified's candidate recruiting product (called Identified Recruit) is its proprietary data normalization technology, SYMAN. SYMAN takes unstructured professional data dispersed across multiple social and professional networks and repurposes it to create profiles for employers and recruiters.

Identified Recruit is a self-serve, web-based enterprise application that lets users search for and source job candidates from a database of 69.8 million U.S. profiles. More than adding a social recruitment product to its suite of HCM applications, the acquisition is expected to enhance search capabilities and accelerate the delivery of predictive analytics and machine learning throughout Workday's HCM and financial management applications.

Identified was founded by serial entrepreneur Adeyemi Ajao and Brendan Wallace (Stanford MBA classmates) in 2010 and raised approximately $22.5 million from institutional investors including VantagePoint and Capricorn and angel investors including Eric Schmidt, Bill Draper, Tim Draper, John Glynn, Chamath Palihapitiya, Paige Craig and Joel Peterson.

The transaction was first announced by Workday during its recent fourth quarter and full year fiscal 2014 financial results. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
