Lancaster Colony Continues Higher Cash Dividend

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lancaster Colony Corporation LANC announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 44 cents per share on the company's common stock, payable March 31, 2014 to shareholders of record on March 7, 2014.

The board voted to continue the cash dividend at the higher level set three months ago. The company is one of only 16 U.S. companies to have increased regular cash dividends each year for 51 consecutive years.

John B. Gerlach, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Lancaster Colony, said, "The dividend reflects the company's continued strong financial position and will be the 203rd consecutive quarterly cash dividend paid by the company since September 1963." He noted that the indicated annual payout for the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2014 is $1.72 per share, up from the $1.52 per share paid in fiscal 2013, excluding the $5 per share special dividend paid in December 2012.

Common shares currently outstanding total approximately 27,294,000.
