ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced that it has been named to the 2014 FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list. This is the third consecutive year that WWT has earned a spot on the coveted list.

Pursued by many large enterprises, inclusion on the FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list is reserved for only 100 elite organizations. WWT captured the #34 spot this year based on its commitment to creating and sustaining an inclusive culture and a highly productive, people-focused workplace as well as the company's continued expansive growth worldwide. Other well-known business entities that are featured on this FORTUNE list include Google, SAS, Edward Jones, Salesforce.com, NetApp and Cisco.

To determine list placement, FORTUNE conducts a comprehensive annual workplace survey, evaluating hundreds of detailed applications submitted by companies seeking inclusion on the annual list. A wide-range of criteria, including company practices, corporate culture and employee feedback, is evaluated in order to select the final companies named to the “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list. The complete list and detailed stories regarding the 100 chosen companies is available at www.fortune.com and on newsstands now.

Our employees are our greatest asset and they have responded in kind by helping our customers meet their goals and fostering WWT's consistent year-over-year financial growth and global expansion.”

“Being named to the FORTUNE “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list for the third year in a row not only demonstrates WWT's success in providing our employees with a rewarding, inclusive work environment, but will also help us attract top talent that desires excellent career growth opportunities at a company where they will really matter,” said Ann Marr, vice president of human resources with WWT.

“From the moment that you join the WWT team, it's evident that this is a company that truly values your presence, input and long-term growth,” said Owen Skoler, content marketing manager with WWT. “I am proud that FORTUNE has recognized WWT for its unique culture and leadership.”

FORTUNE Methodology

To pick the 100 Best Companies to Work For, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America; 257 firms participated in this year's survey. More than 252,000 employees at those companies were surveyed by the institute, a global research and consulting firm operating in 45 countries around the world. Two-thirds of a company's score is based on the results of the institute's Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third is based on responses to the institute's Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs, and diversity efforts. After evaluations are completed, if news about a company comes to light that may significantly damage employees' faith in management, we may exclude it from the list. Any company that is at least five years old and has more than 1,000 U.S. employees is eligible. The deadline for applying for next year's list is June 30, 2014. For an online nomination form, go to the Great Place to Work Institute's web site. If you have further questions about the Best Companies to Work For, please e-mail fortunespecials@fortune.com.
