KANSAS CITY, Mo. - November 22, 2013 - BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index BATSK rose 22.67 points, or 0.1%, this week to close at 20,306.15 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today.
Financials, along with Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, outperformed the broader Index rising more than 1%. For the second consecutive week Utilities trailed the broader Index falling 1.4%.

The BATS 1000 Index offers a listings-neutral, broad snapshot of the U.S. equities marketplace by tracking the performance of 1,000 securities classified in 10 important industry sectors. The 10 index sectors are adjusted to an equal weighting based on the current value of the index every June during an annual reconstitution process.
