NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gainey McKenna & Egleston announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the District of Missouri on behalf of all persons or entities who purchased the securities of Furniture Brands International ("Furniture Brands" or the "Company") FBN between February 13, 2013 and August 5, 2013, seeking remedies under the federal securities laws.

The Complaint alleges Defendants inflated Furniture Brands' stock price during the Class Period by disseminating materially false and misleading statements, and failing to disclose material information known or recklessly disregarded by them, concerning the Company's true financial condition, operation and business prospects.
