Water cooler firm Angel Springs donated more than 100 bottles of water for a Buckinghamshire charity dinner to raise money for Epilepsy Society. The ‘A Taste of Italy' black tie evening saw more than £20,000 raised for vital medical research.

(PRWEB UK) 27 July 2013

Water cooler supplier Angel Springs lent its support to a charity black tie dinner by donating water refreshments.

The firm provided more than 100 one-litre glass bottles of water for the event, held in aid of Epilepsy Society.

‘A Taste of Italy' was hosted at Bedlow Ridge, Buckinghamshire, on Saturday, June 22. It was set up to raise money for the charity's vital epilepsy medical research programme.

Bedlow Ridge is the current home of the Sherriff of Buckinghamshire. The charity evening was attended by 200 people, and raised more than £20,000.

John Murphy, commercial director at Angel Springs, said, “We were delighted to be able to support the ‘A Taste of Italy' event. It was a brilliant evening at a fantastic setting, and it was great to see them raise money for Epilepsy Society's medical research programme.

“We've donated a lot of water to charity events through over the last few months through our Free Water initiative, helping a wide range of charities like Cancer Research, the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

“We encourage people holding events in aid of good causes, who're looking for some extra support, to get in touch with us – we're always keen to lend our support.”

The Countess Howe, chairman of the organising committee, and president of Epilepsy Society, said, “We are indebted to Angel Springs for their generous donation of water for our event. Donations such as this helped us to keep our costs to a minimum, and thus meant we could maximise the benefit for the charity. ”

Angel Springs is a prolific supporter of charitable causes and organisations. Through its Free Water initiative, charities and event organisers can apply to get complementary water for participants.

The Wolverhampton-based water cooler supplier has already donated thousands of bottles of water for Wolverhampton charity Compton Hospice's Annual Memory Walk, and a Halifax school's fun run, amongst many other special events this year.

It also raises money for its designated charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, through a customer loyalty scheme and other initiatives.
