AMC Theatres® Announces Charitable Fund Annual Grant Process

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

AMC Theatres is proud to announce its first AMC Cares Charitable Fund Annual Grant process. From now through July 31, interested organizations may apply for a grant that may include cash awards, national onscreen advertising, AMC annual passes, AMC theatre screenings or individual movie passes.

“We developed this annual grant process to help address the many requests for monetary support and other in-kind donations we receive on a daily basis,” said Carla Sanders, Vice President, Benefits. “We are specifically aiming to strengthen AMC communities throughout the country with investments in programs that positively impact the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, education and employment.”

Applicants should represent qualified nonprofit organizations focused on children's charities. Recipients of grants from the AMC Cares Charitable Fund are selected by a committee of AMC associates with the help and support of the Tulsa Community Foundation, (TCF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

To request a grant, please visit www.amctheatres.com/corporate/in-the-community and complete the online application. Please note that online grant applications may only be submitted once per year. The application process opened July 1. Only requests submitted online before July 31, 2013, at 5 p.m. CDT will be considered. All grant recipients will be notified by Aug. 17, 2013. Attendance by an appropriate organizational representative at the AMC Invitational at The National Golf Club of Kansas City on Sept. 17, 2013 is required to activate awards. Any applicant not granted an award in 2013 will be kept on file for consideration during the 2014 grant application process.
