Leading Scottish letting portal addresses lack of rental information aimed specifically for Students.

(PRWEB UK) 12 June 2013

As 1000's of students face an uphill struggle to find accommodation in an increasingly saturated property market, the summer hunt for student lets heats up more and more.

The majority of students in the market for lets are moving into the private rented sector for the first time, and may not be aware of the pitfalls that may lie ahead. Rogue landlords and unscrupulous agents, whilst a minority, can easily prey on students that do not yet know any better.

Universities and charities like Young Scot have already been doing a lot work in educating and helping students to find good student accommodation, but some real help from the private rental sector has been lacking until now. Lettingweb's Student Hub features:

A twitter-based flatmate advertisement board, use #flatemateads to advertise or request a spare room across Lettingweb's student pages.

Detailed information on Scottish universities and where students attending them may want to live.

Extra insight into University towns and which areas are popular amongst students of which institutions.

News and comment aimed for tenants coming into the private market.

Lettingweb are looking for help in populating the student hub with information that students need to know before they start looking for accommodation so that anyone looking for a student let can have properties, everything they need to know and extra helpful features all in one place. If you're interested in supplying content, contact them to do so.

Steve Tigar, the Managing Director of Lettingweb, commented:

"Renting a flat for the first time can be a daunting prospect. And for students, often moving away from their home town, family and friends, it can be even more challenging. Our mission at Lettingweb is to make letting better, which is why we're delighted to offer a new student hub to make the process of finding accommodation in university cities and towns far easier."
