Connecticut legislators will be considering a proposed bill that would require both public and home-schooled children to undergo behavioral health assessments. In response, Privacy4Patriots urges lawmakers to reject the bill due to privacy concerns.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 01, 2013

According to the Connecticut state government website and a variety of news outlets, a bill was proposed to Connecticut legislators in January that would require home-schooled children ages 12, 14 and 17, as well as public school children in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12, to undergo behavioral health assessments.

Privacy4Patriots, the publisher of an upcoming report on how to protect one's privacy, strongly urges Connecticut lawmakers to vote against this bill.

The company believes that these assessments contain a great deal of potential for prejudice by the assessors, including those assessors who might be biased against home schooling or who might not share the religious or social beliefs of the parents of home schoolers. Privacy4Patriots believes that this bill would constitute an invasion of family privacy.
