City Bike Company Brooklyn Cruiser Reintroduces Bedford Model

City Bike company Brooklyn Cruiser has reintroduced its inaugural Bedford model to its lineup for 2013 the company announced today. The company noted that the new model will be debuting in dealer shops in both the United States and Canada in the coming weeks.

Building on the success of their Driggs and Willow models, the company decided to reintroduce the Bedford model as a single speed, basing it on the design of their hugely successful Driggs line of bicycles. The single speed model comes standard with front and rear hand brakes, a heavy duty carry rack, front and rear fenders and a chain guard. The bicycle is available in matte black and ivory.

Brooklyn Cruiser's initial launch was inspired by urban dwellers riding Dutch bikes abroad where bicycle commuting is a cultural norm. The founders worked with Brooklyn designers to create a prototype of an urban bike that simplified bike maintenance with a renewed emphasis on affordability and style.
