Dayna Hardin Slated to Speak at Two Upcoming Camp Conferences

Owner/Director of Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps, has recently announced that she will be speaking at two major camp conferences

Dayna Hardin, known to the camping world as the Owner/Director of Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps, has recently announced that she will be speaking at two major camp conferences late this winter: the 2013 Mid States Camping Conference and the Tri-State Camp Conference. The annual conferences, which are presented by the American Camp Association (ACA), are among the largest camp conferences of the year.

The 2013 Mid States Camping Conference will be held from March 7-9. Dayna is expected to be part of an expert panel that will interact with the Firestorm organization. A national leader in crisis prevention, Firestorm will offer suggestions on how to plan for emergencies and avoid common mistakes made at camps. Members of the panel were chosen for their exemplary efforts in the areas of safety and risk management.

Next up is the Tri-State Camp Conference (TSCC). Held in Atlantic City, NJ from March 12 -15, the TSCC is expected to draw over 3000 camp professionals and industry experts.. These like minded individuals are gathering with the primary purpose of improving the ways camp enriches a child's life.

The TSCC will consist of a variety of workshops. Topics such as business, community, operations and staff leadership will be covered in these sessions, as well as other topics relevant to the camping industry. Dayna is expected to deliver an inspiring speech that showcases her forward thinking and commitment to the challenges the industry faces.

This is not the first time Hardin has acted as an instrumental part of the ACA. She currently acts as the Vice President of the National Board, and from 2009 – 2011 Dayna was the conference chair for the ACA's national annual conference. Dayna has spoken on a myriad of topics in the past, including leadership, trends in camping and homesickness. Her speeches have inspired other industry leaders to adapt her ideals and integrate them into their own program.
