Company to exhibit its products — including new non-sterile hypodermic needles and Safecan™ Safety Introducer Needle — at regional show

Bethlehem, Pa. (PRWEB) February 12, 2013

B. Braun OEM Division (http://www.bbraunoem.com) will showcase its contract manufacturing services and medical device components at the 2013 Medical Design and Manufacturing West (MD&M) conference and exhibition, February 12-14, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

B. Braun OEM Division (Booth 3301) will exhibit products from several categories: fluid administration and management products, valves, admixture devices, interventional accessories, catheters and custom kits.

The company will also display two new products: bulk, non-sterile hypodermic needles and the Safecan™ Safety Introducer Needle. The competitively priced hypodermic needles are available in a wide range of gauges and lengths. They feature a smooth surface with a light silicone coating and an ultra-sharp, tri-beveled profile designed to promote ease of penetration. The Safecan™ Introducer Needle – available as finished sterile product for end-market use – is used to gain vascular access for the placement of a guidewire. It is designed to reduce the risk of needlestick injury and promote OSHA compliance. It features a patented safety clip that covers the needletip upon user activation and a sharp, lubricated needle tip designed to facilitate smooth access and minimize resistance during insertion.

The 2013 MD&M West event (http://www.canontradeshows.com/expo/west13/) will assemble thousands of medical design and manufacturing professionals. The overall theme of the 2013 conference is “Innovation without Constraints,” with the purpose of providing implementable strategies and showcasing best practices to overcome challenges that medical device manufacturers will face in 2013 and beyond. MD&M exhibitors are suppliers of raw materials, software, manufacturing machinery, components, subassemblies, and contract services used to design and produce medical devices.
