St. Louis Man Wins $10,000 Thanks to Hooters Lunch Craving

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Hooters of America, LLC, announced today that Todd Thrasher of Glendale, Mo., has won $10,000 in a scratch card giveaway as part of its “Wings on the Fly” to-go order promotion to celebrate post-season football. Thrasher received his prize during a check presentation at the Hooters of Kiener Plaza in St. Louis on Friday, Feb. 8.

Thrasher visited his favorite Hooters restaurant on his lunch break to pick up a to-go order of a chicken sandwich and side salad. His order was accompanied by a scratch card and upon returning to his office, Thrasher scratched the card at his desk to reveal the $10,000 prize.

“Receiving this prize has been a truly unbelievable experience,” said Thrasher. “I have been a Hooters customer for many years, but this is the first time I have ever won a prize like this. I am already planning a family vacation with part of my winnings.”

A scratch card was included with each Hooters to-go order through Feb. 3, or while supplies lasted. Each card was a chance to instantly win $10,000 and other great prizes, such as free soft drinks, 10 percent off discount coupons for Hooters merchandise and free appetizers.

In addition to the to-go order prizes, Hooters gave away free wings for a year to one lucky customer at each of its 355 Hooters locations across the United States during halftime of the big game on Sunday, Feb. 3. That totals nearly 185,000 world famous chicken wings for Hooters football fans. From traditional buffalo sauce favorites, ranging in heat from mild to 911, to new signature sauces on select Hooters menus, such as teriyaki-style samurai, lemon pepper and chipotle honey, each winner will enjoy endless flavor options.
