Refundo re-introduces their new refund transfers platform this tax season. Tax preparers that choose Refundo now have an alternative option from dealing with the numerous and costly fees that accrue from other bank's services, which in turn generates a more positive experience for the taxpayer.

Elizabeth, NJ (PRWEB) January 30, 2013

Refundo today kicked off the 2012 tax preparation season with a release of its new refund transfers platform.

“Today, we're incredibly pleased to announce our completely rebuilt refund transfers platform designed to meet the unique needs of tax professionals serving underbanked and unbanked communities nationwide,” said Refundo Chief Executive Officer, Roger Chinchilla. “We've worked really hard over the past year to give tax preparers a new alternative that's more convenient and easy-to-understand, and helps taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money.”

2013 Tax Updates

In late 2012 - and early 2013 - Congress finally found some agreement on the Fiscal Cliff debate, enough so to pass a bill that codified IRS tax rules for 2012. These delays led the IRS to push the opening of tax season to January 30, 2013, the latest start date in quite some years. Needless to say, this has also caused tremendous anxiety among tax professionals scrambling to keep pace and minimize the disruption to their businesses.

Separately, on January 18, 2013, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ruled against an IRS proposal to mandate Registered Tax Return Preparer (“RTRP”) competency examinations. In other words, IRS certification is not legally required in order to accept payment for tax preparation services.

However, this also means that taxpayers should be careful in choosing a tax preparer as they are ultimately responsible for the tax return's accuracy. Therefore, Refundo encourages taxpayers to seek tax preparers who are RTRP certified.

Tax Professionals Choose Refundo

Refundo understands the challenges tax professionals are faced with as they navigate the tax season, and is committed to easing that burden. Refundo's new refund processing tools help tax professionals lower costs and save time, making their service more efficient and competitive than those without.

Refundo offers a refreshing alternative to the experience tax preparers are likely to encounter when choosing tax preparation software or a refund transfers solution. Refundo's $27 flat fee for refund transfers in the form of 1) a printed check, 2) direct deposit, or 3) debit card is simple, easy-to-understand, and transparent to tax preparers and taxpayers alike.

“Tax preparers and taxpayers alike deserve better than what they may be used to. We think we've developed something special here... a solution where everyone wins.”
