AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Paxil.
A new study published on the January 2013 issue of Human Reproduction Oxford Journal reveals that antidepressant use (including Paxil) during pregnancy is associated with increased risks of miscarriage, birth defects, preterm birth, newborn behavioral syndrome, persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn and possible longer term neurobehavioral effects. Paxil (paroxetine), produced by GlaxoSmithKline and approved in 1992 by the FDA, is an antidepressant drug belonging to a group called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
According to court documents, on October 19th, 2012, a couple filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court (case no. 2:2012cv05962) alleging their baby daughter died as a result of heart birth defects caused by her mother's use of Paxil and Zoloft during pregnancy.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Paxil severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations for AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Paxil lawsuits. "For that reason", he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
In January 2012, the British Medical Journal published a study revealing that selective SSRIs, including Paxil, are linked to pulmonary hypertension in newborns (PPHN) of mothers who took them during pregnancy.
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Paxil lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
