The Fixer Is In With Music From Sandblast Productions For Showtime's New "Ray Donovan" Trailer
Award-winning music production company Sandblast Productions creates music for the trailer promoting Showtime's new series “Ray Donovan”

Showtime, the home of the four-time 2012 Emmy Award-winning "Homeland," premieres the debut of its new show "Ray Donovan" soon in 2013.
Ray Donovan is a professional "fixer" for LA's rich and famous. The show stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber and Oscar winner Jon Voight.
Showtime just released its first look combined trailer for "Ray Donovan" and its other new series "Masters Of Sex," which can be accessed on YouTube.
Showtime vice president and creative director Angie Speranza turned to music production company Sandblast Productions to create the music she wanted to convey the show's gritty and urban setting in Los Angeles.
“Ray is a loner, a renegade. He is a fixer – he has a lot of edge about him. The music helps tell his story by being as complex as he is. The multiple layers include poly-rhythms, guitar riffs for texture and tone, and unique percussion elements,“ says Sandblast Productions producer Loren Toolajian.
The music for "Ray Donovan" features rapper Diriki Mack of the hip-hop group Vision Quest. The rap includes the lyric, "One man's an island, no man's forgiven. I bring what I got, cause that's the way that I'm livin'. ”
“Ray Donovan is an island unto himself, and the lyrics reflect this constant struggle between his fractured inner life and the outside world,” says Toolajian. "There is no forgiveness for the things that he does, but in the end, he is who he is.”
Sandblast Productions is an award-winning music production company specializing in music for television, radio, film and theatre. Recent projects include production and music for ESPN's 2012 Indy 500, the ESPYs, Showtime's The Borgias, and Sesame Street's Emmy Award-winning prime-time special, “Growing Hope Against Hunger.”
