Executive Compass® reveals managing director Neil Capstick's participation in this year's “Marathon of the North” in a solid effort to raise money for Sense, one of the largest organisations dedicated to helping the deaf-blind community in the UK.

The firm wasted no time in revealing its plans to raise money for UK's largest organisation dedicated to helping deaf-blind individuals and their families. Executive Compass® was thrilled to announce that managing director, Neil Capstick, will be running the “Marathon of the North,” and that the target amount to raise has been set at £2,000.

Executive Compass® says that should their target amount be reached, Mr. Capstick will then undertake the Kielder Marathon in October 2013. Considered as “Britain's most beautiful marathon,” the Kielder Marathon is a 26.2-mile race.

On the Just Giving page, Mr. Capstick shares his thoughts about Sense, “There are many charities, all worthy, but my choice was fairly easy. To be blind or deaf is a tremendous challenge, but to be both really is unimaginable. When I heard about the work that Sense does, it was a really easy decision to support them.”

Sense was established in 1955 as a support group for parents. The organisation has since expanded its services, which include housing, education, advice, and other practical assistance to the deaf-blind community.

In a recent statement, Executive Compass® underscored the importance of its selected charity organisation. “All of these services are essential and can significantly improve the lives of adults and children with sensory impairments. The amazing services that Sense provides to its beneficiaries all come at a cost, and without the generous donations from its supporters, the charity would not be able to help those in need.
