West Palm Beach, Florida (PRWEB) January 03, 2013

Attorney Richard Tendler recently completed serving a three-year term as a member of the 15th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee for The Florida Bar and a one-year term as the Chair of the committee. The committee is responsible for inquiring into alleged ethical misconduct by members of The Florida Bar.

Mr. Tendler, a Baton Raton criminal defense lawyer, was appointed to serve on the committee from 2009 through 2012, and he held the position of Chair from 2011 through 2012. Anyone serving on the committee is required to be nominated and must display the highest level of ethical standards, both before and during his or her term.

When reviewing an attorney's alleged misconduct, the members of the Grievance Committee are required to determine whether the activity in question violated the rules regulating The Florida Bar and whether a complaint should be filed against the attorney so disciplinary actions can be taken. Mr. Tendler reviewed more than 50 attorneys while serving on the committee.

Each of the Florida Bar's 20 judicial districts has at least one Grievance Committee, with the committees working much like a grand jury, according to The Florida Bar's website. The Florida State Bar is a professional organization of attorneys that encompasses the entire state. Its 15th Judicial Circuit covers Palm Beach County, Fla., which includes the city of Boca Raton.

Attorney Tendler has more than 15 years of experience helping individuals throughout Boca Raton and the state of Florida challenge their criminal charges and protect their rights. He spent nearly five years of his law career working as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County. In addition to being appointed as a Florida Bar Grievance Committee member, Mr. Tendler was also elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2010. He has made various appearances in the media, including Court TV, the Sun Sentinel, the Palm Beach Post, the Miami Herald and the Florida Atlantic University newspaper.

During his time as an attorney, Mr. Tendler has successfully defended clients facing some of the most serious criminal charges, including murder charges and federal charges. At the Law Offices of Richard Tendler, the attorney currently handles various types of criminal cases and works diligently to develop the strongest defense strategies for each of his clients. He dedicates the necessary time and research to each of the cases he takes on and pushes aggressively for the most favorable outcomes.
