Ave Maria School of Law to Host Law of Life Summit "3"

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Ave Maria School of Law (AMSL) announced today that pro-life leaders from around the country will come together with students at the Law of Life Summit “3” – a pro-life action conference spearheaded by AMSL graduate Royce Hood. The event will be held on Thursday, January 24, at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, in conjunction with the March for Life.

“This year marks the 40^th anniversary of Roe v. Wade with over 55 million abortions since 1973,” said Summit organizer Royce Hood. “Not only must we change our laws, but we must also change our culture to defend and honor the sanctity of human life. Over 200 are expected to attend the Law of Life Summit, a record-breaker for the organization.”

Father Michael Orsi, the Chaplain of Ave Maria School of Law said that the Law of Life Summit is an opportunity to unite the pro-life movement. “With the re-election of Barak Obama, the most pro-death President in our nation's history, the leaders of the Summit realize the need to promote a forceful and united front to combat the culture of death. Pro-life leaders from around the country will share their groups' activities. It is hoped that a common vision will emerge for overturning the Supreme Court's flawed decision, Roe v. Wade (1973) legalizing infanticide which is now permitted even during birth itself,” Orsi said.

The theme for Summit “3” is “Calling Out the Media”, which involves engaging the media to advance the pro-life movement. The Summit will also highlight the need for pro-life legislation, make strong appeals for education on life in our nation's Catholic schools and encourage peaceful protests. “We are pleased to bring together so many gifted leaders for this Summit,” said Father Orsi.
