SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

OBJ Enterprises OBJE and its partners could be entering the multi-billion-dollar digital gaming market at just the right time. Booming tablet and smartphone sales are creating massive, worldwide demand for fun and engaging mobile entertainment.

According to a report released late last year by industry analysts Transparency Market Research, the global gaming market is forecast to grow to an incredible $117.9 billion by 2015. The majority of that growth will come from mobile gaming.

The huge growth in mobile gaming is due to the dramatic rise in popularity of tablets and smartphones, both of which allow gamers to play almost anywhere. Market analysts IDC predict that a total of 122.3 million new tablets were shipped last year, and U.S. mobile carrier AT&T announced this month that it sold a record number of smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Global investment firm Digi-Capital reported this week that downloadable, free-to-play games could deliver 55 percent of mobile and tablet app revenue and 93 percent of mobile and tablet app downloads by 2016. Thanks to the rise of mobile gaming, the basis of competition across gaming market sectors continues to move towards free-to-play business models.

OBJE is working hard to capitalize on these trends. Novalon Games, an emerging gaming developer founded by the joint venture of OBJE and Source Street, LLC, revealed a sneak peak of Phantasmic, its new gaming for Apple (AAPL) devices. Potential investors and gamers can now play the beta version of the game's first level at www.novalongames.com/phantasmic-demo.

Phantasmic is a free-to-play game optimized for the mobile marketplace. It's the first of two brand new Apple AAPL iOS and Google GOOG Android gaming apps scheduled for release by Novalon in 2013.
