WizeBiz Attends its First Toronto Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards

A Toronto-based accounting company attends a prestigious business award program in celebration of the contributions it has made to the community.

Officials with WizeBiz, a Toronto small business accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll service, announced today that it attended its first Toronto Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards.

“This was a great experience for us,” Cecilia Leung, owner of WizeBiz said in reference to the first marquee event that she and the company have participated in with The Toronto Board of Trade.

The Toronto Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit, and honors the contributions made by small and medium businesses to the Toronto Region business community.

A total of nine awards were given out to a variety of enterprises in the categories of Global Reach, Sustainability, Start-Up/New Business, Under 30, Local Economic Impact, Diversity, Innovation, Business Growth and Entrepreneur of the Year.

“This event is an awards event for entrepreneur and small business excellence,” Leung said, before adding, “The event was very inspiring.”

Leung, who was invited as a panelist at the 9th Annual IEP conference (forum for Internally Educated Professionals) at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, noted that Heather White and Ravi Nayak from The Toronto Board of Trade have been helpful in assisting her with networking efforts.

The board, according to the Toronto Board of Trade's website, is the authoritative voice of Canada's most prominent business community and a catalyst for change. The board fosters powerful collaborations, advocates for a strong economic climate, exceptional quality of life, and global competitiveness.

“I am very impress with TBOT,” Leung stressed. “I was also privilege to sit with the AllStream sales team at the event, one of the sponsors for the event."
