WTG Awarded G-Cloud II Supplier Status

Web Technology Group's addition to the CloudStore supports the achievement of Public Sector cost reduction targets

WTG, a specialist IT consultancy and bespoke solutions provider to the UK Public Sector has become an official supplier on the Government's G-Cloud store.

G-Cloud is a cross-governmental programme aimed at introducing cloud-based ITC services to the Public Sector, especially central government departments and local authorities. This is achieved through a new procurement framework, G-Cloud, now in its second phase of development. The framework provides 4 categories of services (Infrastructure, Software, Platform and Specialist Services) from different suppliers that can be compared and purchased on the CloudStore.

Following application under the rigorous OJEU process, WTG's offering on the CloudStore covers: Proof Of Concept, Drupal and WordPress Development, Bespoke Cloud Application Development, UX Design Consultancy, Episerver Cloud Development, Information Assurance Services, and Cloud Consultancy, which can all be purchased by Public Sector organisations under lot 4 (Specialist Services) at very competitive prices.

WTG's entry into the Cloud Programme supports the Government's strategy of increasing SME procurement to breakdown IT contract size and reduce Public Sector costs. As an example, WTG's Cloud Consultancy solution, WTG's Tiger Team, offers savings of thousands of pounds compared to similar consultancy services by the big Systems Integrators.

WTG's aspiration is to expand their current offering on the next framework update with additional value for money solutions. G-Cloud III will be launched in May next year.
