New GreatNonprofits.org award is based on positive online reviews.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
December 5, 2012. Child Family Health International (CFHI) announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit,” says Mirriam Rafiq Braden, MPH, CFHI Executive Director. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including our milestones of enrolling 7,000 students in our global health experiences, introducing Argentina as a new program country, and celebrating our 20th anniversary of transformative global health education and community empowerment.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that CFHI received – reviews written by volunteers, board members and students. Personal experiences are shared and posting on this site becomes a time for reflection for many CFHI volunteers. One CFHI volunteer that participated in a Global Health Education Program in India wrote, “This volunteer experience has taught me so much about the world and myself. I have learned that I can adjust to any circumstances and live in any place in the world. I am looking forward to become a doctor and to practice medicine in rural areas where the supply for is limited and highly needed.”
Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for impacting and inspiring causes to support during the holiday season.
"We are gratified by CFHI for its work,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, "They deserve to be discovered by more donors and volunteers who are looking for a great nonprofit to support."
Being on the Top-Rated list gives donors and volunteers increased confidence of CFHI's credibility. Reviews by volunteers, clients and other donors show the on-the-ground impact of this nonprofit and this award shows recognition of CFHI's work by the community.
