AAPC Announces ICD-10 Discussion Forums
Online community is the virtual hot spot for ICD-10 implementation preparation.
SALT LAKE CITY (PRWEB) December 04, 2012
AAPC (http://www.aapc.com), the leader in credentialing the business side of medicine, has created ICD10Forums.com, a new online community to discuss all things related to ICD-10 implementation. The forums are free to join and open to anyone preparing for the ICD-10 code set transition scheduled for October 1, 2014. ICD-10 implementation, mandated by the Department of Health and Human Services, will change everything from physician documentation to coding and reimbursement, and will require a significant effort to implement. The forum discussions will help answer questions and concerns relating to all aspects of ICD-10. Current forum topics include:
- ICD-10 Planning/Preparing: What do I do now to prepare?
- Documentation for ICD-10: Documentation concerns
- ICD-9 to ICD-10 Mapping and Crosswalks: GEMS and mapping
“These forums will be especially helpful for those involved in the transition from ICD-9 code sets to ICD-10,” said Rhonda Buckholtz, vice president of ICD-10 training and education. “This is the place to discuss the inevitable questions and concerns, regardless of where you are in the implementation process.”
To get involved in the respective forum discussions, visit ICD10Forums.com or view other AAPC ICD-10 resources (http://www.aapc.com/ICD-10/icd-10-codes.aspx).
