LED display leader Lighthouse and TS Sports delivered the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix to an audience of 265,000 Formula 1 race fans from around the globe, via Lighthouse's GreenLine HD10 LED displays, at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, during the weekend of November 16-18, 2012.

The GreenLine Series of LED displays includes the HD8, HD10 and HD12 LED video panels. All panels are RoHS compliant and deliver spectacular brightness (7,000 nits) with an ultra-high contrast ratio. In addition to Lighthouse's trademark excellent image resolution and uniformity, the GreenLine LED display series costs less and consumes 30% less power than its competition, while delivering the same pixel quality. The HD10 has a sharp 10mm effective resolution.

“Lighthouse is excited about working with the Circuit of the Americas,” said Ed Whitaker, Lighthouse N.A.S.A. director of sales. “Combining our leading LED display technology with the world's most advanced F1 cars is going to give Grand Prix fans in the US an unrivalled race day experience.”

The installation at COTA includes two grandstand displays measuring 21' wide by 12.6' high, three LED video pit displays, each measuring nearly 30' wide by 16' high, and sixteen (16) additional Lighthouse LED displays measuring 25' wide by 16' high. With close to 4 million individual LEDs, Circuit of the Americas' new LED display system promises a new standard in F1 fan immersion.

"Our partnership with Circuit of the Americas combines the state-of-the-art in LED video technology and integration with the latest in Grand Prix facility design," said Matt Ritter, TS Sports Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Circuit Of The Americas is a multi-purpose facility that will host the most prestigious racing events in the world, including the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. It is the first purpose-built Grand Prix facility in the U.S. Built around a state-of-the-art 3.4-mile circuit track with capacity for 120,000 fans and an elevation change of 133 feet, the facility is designed for any and all classes of racing – from motor power, to human power. Attendance for the F1 Grand Prix, held on Sunday, November 18, was a near-capacity 117,429.

"The GreenLine HD10 LED display is simple to install and features our proprietary SMART diagnostic system, which makes it easy to maintain,” added Whitaker. “The viewing angles are superior, so the HD10 LED display is perfect a premier outdoor venue such as Circuit of the Americas.”
