The event was hosted by Kathleen McNeill, who is Yelp's Atlanta Senior Community Manager. Since its San Francisco founding in 2004, Yelp has grown to be used by more than 84 million unique users every month in the United States and 19 other countries. The Yelp website and mobile apps, which account for more than 8 million monthly users, provides a listing of local businesses which users can search for based on reviews and ratings which are written by its community of users.
