The show is hosted by the legendary Martin Sheen, who is entering his second half-century in American entertainment. Over the first 50 years of his career, Mr. Sheen has appeared in more than 60 films and countless memorable television roles.
With the war in Iraq over and a scheduled reduction in the American presence in Afghanistan, thousands of American military personnel are coming home. For some of these veterans, adapting to civilian life can be difficult. In Focus Martin Sheen PBS is talking to community leaders about how local organizations are helping vets with the help of large nationwide groups. This includes help with education, job training and placement, and reducing the number of homeless veterans on the streets.
