Lucky CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union member wins $3,500 7-night cruise for two to the Bahamas

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union gave one lucky member a 7-night cruise for two to the Bahamas up to $3,500. Out of 619 entries collected April 1 through September 30, 2012, only Mrs. Lucille Clark will set sail.

When Mrs. Lucille Clark from Capital Heights, Maryland awoke October 24, she didn't know she'd face an important decision that day: whom to take on a 7-night cruise for two to the Bahamas she‘d won in CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union's “Passport to Financial Freedom” promotion.

The promotion, April 1–September 30, required members to get a Passport to Financial Freedom from a branch or online at cofcu.org. Members then received stamps to place in their passport for products and services they were currently using, as well as for each new product and service they signed up for – an auto loan, mobile banking, online banking, a mortgage loan, Visa® credit card, savings account, and more. Members received an entry into the drawing for each stamp they collected.

Was she surprised when notified she'd won? “Yes, I was surprised. I couldn't contain myself,” Mrs. Clark said. Even though her daughter wanted to accompany her on the cruise, her husband, of course, will enjoy the cruise with Mrs. Clark.

After receiving 619 Passports to Financial Freedom entries, CommonWealth One announced Mrs. Clark the winner October 24, 2012 on its website in a video filmed at its Main Branch in Alexandria, VA.
