Truth Untold: New Thriller Unearths History's Most Despised Villain
Van R. Mayhall Jr. explores backstory, motivations of Judas Iscariot in new thriller
BATON ROUGE, La. (PRWEB) November 05, 2012
Is there more to history's most abhorrent betrayal than meets the eye? Van R. Mayhall Jr., Baton Rouge attorney and lifelong reader of the Bible, explores this and more in his new thriller, “Judas the Apostle.” In the book, Mayhall explores the story, life and ultimate fate of one of history's most reviled men, Judas Iscariot, made infamous for his betrayal of Jesus Christ.
Mayhall provides his own extensive research in Judas' backstory and couples it with a thrilling international adventure. The intent, Mayhall says, was to provide a biblical historical thriller with true intellectual heft.
“Readers will be informed and entertained by what they're reading,” Mayhall says. “This book is about much more than controversial claims about religion. It's about a thrilling story that will get people thinking about the importance of discovering the truth about history and the overall battle between good and evil.”
In the book, ancient language expert Dr. Clotile Lejeune's quiet life is profoundly shaken when she learns that her estranged father has been murdered.
Cloe must travel back to her Louisiana hometown to unlock the mysteries of a two thousand year old jar that her father has left in her care-- a jar inscribed with the name Judas Iscariot. Anxious to find her father's killer and dispel her own personal demons, Cloe has no idea that what she is about to uncover has the potential to set the international religious community on fire.
