Ever dreamt of building some dream wheels? Well now is the chance to design a set of dream wheels this month with Peugeot's online game designed to raise over £150,000 for BBC Children in Need. Thousands of children – along with all the family, will be able to let their imaginations run wild and enjoy Pudsey's Dream Wheels from 19th October, styling their own cars from a wide range of fun automobile options via http://www.pudseysdreamwheels.co.uk
Tamara Ecclestone pays homage to her F1 family dynasty by donning a racing suit to launch Pudsey's Dream Wheels. Helping Tamara celebrate the launch of Pudsey's Dream Wheels is fun duo Matt Littler, Darren Jeffries and of course Pudsey himself! Recreating the iconic car scene from Grease, Tamara goes blonde and channels her inner Sandra Dee as the boys work their T-Bird attitude on top of their very own ‘Greased Lightning' Peugeot 208.
Renowned girly girl Tamara knows exactly how she would customise her Dream Wheels; colouring it pink and gold, covering it in crystals and adding a pair of luscious lashes to the headlights. For cheeky twosome Matt & Darren, it's the same as every boy's favourite superhero getaway car – the Batmobile!
A total of 13 categories from back bumpers to bonnets, wheels and paints will offer endless options, appealing to every style and taste. Each one of Pudsey's Dream Wheels' designs will be accompanied by a short description allowing every player the chance to highlight some of their most considered design decisions….
Does a car benefit from having extra bumpers or perhaps a pair of glasses? Maybe CO2 is a key concern so have scrapped a car cape and opted for a few flowers instead - but doubled up on LEDs for extra safety of course. Make sure to share the design with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter as an online voting mechanism will decide who makes Pudsey's top ten with a carefully selected judging panel announcing the winner on 8th December.
Everybody can play for free, but for a charge of just £3 can enter the design into a competition to win a brand new Peugeot 208 in time for Christmas. All money goes directly to BBC Children in Need and will further help the charity to reach its vision that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.
A selection of merchandise, personalised with each individual design, is also available including a selection of t-shirts, pencil cases and stickers to name just a few items, with all profits going directly to the charity.
Peugeot is an official partner of BBC Children in Need and is aiming to raise a total in excess of half a million pounds for the charity in 2012.
Notes to editors:
BBC Children in Need
The BBC Children in Need Appeal is a charity registered in England and Wales (802052) and Scotland (SC039557) whose aim is to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
BBC Children in Need's vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. We will realise this vision by supporting, promoting and publicising work that addresses the challenges that children and young people face and work that builds their skills and resilience.
We are currently supporting c.2,600 projects that are working with children facing a range of disadvantages for example, poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.
Peugeot Motor Company firmly believes that every child deserves to fulfil their potential; therefore we are proud to support BBC Children in Need with their mission.
Recognising Children in Need's national approach Peugeot has started fundraising in over 200 Dealerships across the country. Not only will they be fundraising within their local communities, they also will be stocking BBC Children in Need merchandise including Pudsey Bear, Pudsey Ears and official wristbands.
Pudsey's Dream Wheels is created by Peugeot in aid of BBC Children in Need and hosted on a mini site. The game is primarily aimed at young children, but can be enjoyed by all ages.
