Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 05, 2012
Businesses in the Atlanta area are gaining access to new and significant support in their quest for growth as Atlanta-based strategic marketing executive Scott P. Bennett, most recently CMO at the American Cancer Society, joins Chief Outsiders. Chief Outsiders is the nation's largest and fastest growing innovative marketing strategy consulting firm focused on implementing market-based growth plans for mid-size companies through fractional, or part-time marketing executives. As a Chief Outsider, Mr. Bennett will assist growth-oriented businesses as a fractional CMO (Chief Marketing Officer).
“The mid-market is the fastest growing business segment in the United States. CEOs of mid-sized companies are increasingly recognizing that bringing discipline to the demand side of their business is just as important as the operational or supply portion of their value chain. Chief Outsiders brings the Marketing discipline to the table that helps these CEOs and their management teams do just that,” said Bennett. "I am excited to be part of the Chief Outsiders team of world-class CMOs and look forward to working with CEOs and their teams to advance their businesses to the next stage,” Bennett added.
Mr. Bennett began his 30 year career in the agency business in account management, and has spent the last 15-years in roles including marketing management, business development, and general management with P&L accountability. He's an accomplished marketer with deep experience in business strategy articulation; branding and sales channel management; and integration of digital and social media solutions into traditional environments. His diverse industry experience includes telecommunications, retail, technology, marketing research, consumer-packaged goods, and non-profit.
Before joining Chief Outsiders, Bennett was national vice president, marketing at the American Cancer Society in Atlanta, GA. As the Society's chief marketing officer Bennett is best known for his work in developing a distinctive value proposition, which resulted in the consumer acclaimed brand campaign positioning the Society as the Official Sponsor of Birthdays. Prior to that he was Vice President, National Channel at Verizon Information Services in Dallas, where he successfully turned around a $500 million line of business focused on the marketing and advertising needs of national companies.
“In today's challenging marketplace growth-oriented CEOs know that they need someone to develop and implement a high-level marketing strategy to get to the next level,” said Art Saxby, founder and principal of Chief Outsiders. “But most have a difficult time accessing the kind of talent that can make a big difference in a relatively short amount of time. That's why our solution of outsourced CMO services or an interim CMO is gaining such quick traction in the marketplace.”
