Johns Hopkins Graduate Student Erin Jimenez Set to Fight in Combat at the Capitale Kickboxing Event
Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student, Erin Jimenez, will be fighting in Louis Neglia's Combat at the Capitale on November 30th.

Erin Jimenez aka “Big Ern” a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, will be competing November 30th in Louis Neglia's Combat at the Capitale.
Erin started training Muay Thai Kickboxing, a martial arts style from Thailand that focuses on knees, elbows, punches, and kicks, at Crazy 88 in May 2012. What is amazing about her progression through the sport is the fact that she is a pHD candidate at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University.
In the beginning, she was a average student who trained two times a week. Since then the 125 pound female fighter, “Big Ern” has dedicated herself to training up to 7 days a week managing training with her hectic school schedule. Juggling graduate school is a task in itself but the focused Erin has amassed 5 Muay Thai fights in the last year and is making a huge step up in competition.
"I believe hard work will beat talent when talent refuses to work hard so I plan on working my absolute hardest," said the matter-of-fact Jimenez.
Combat at the Capitale is one of the largest kickboxing events on the East Coast. Louis Neglia the promoter of the event is well known around the kickboxing and mixed martial arts scene. In addition to putting on Combat at the Capitale Louis is also the president of Ring of Combat, a well-known MMA production which produced many UFC notables such as Edson Barboza,Constantinos Philippou and Chris Weidman. Louis Neglia is well known for selling crowds and shows full of non-stop action.
Erin's opponent Jess Vondolla out of Fusion LA Boxing is coming off a decision win at the last event.
Erin is an extraordinary person inside and outside the gym There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Erin Jimenez is going to explode with fireworks when she invades the Big Apple. Also competing in the event is teammate Peter Petties.
