Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 01, 2012
Klemick & Gampel recently participated in the Susan G, Komen Race for the Cure in Miami, Florida. Many attorneys and associates at the firm decided to run and help with the race in an effort to make an difference in the community and in the lives of many women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The race took place on October 20th, 2012 when men and women assembled under an arch of pink balloons to race for a cure to this illness. Vendors lined the streets, selling T-shirts and providing snacks or water for eager racers. About 21,000 participants arrived at the event to raise money for breast cancer research.
This is the 17th time that the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has been performed in the Miami-Dade area. In tradition, the race began when men and women assembled around a stage. A 25-minute ceremony honored breast cancer survivors and talked about the destination of the funds that were received that day. The crowd moved to the start line for the race at about 8:30 a.m. From there, the racetrack stretched the length of Bayfront park. Various races included a 5k walk and run, a one-mile fun run, and a tot run that was designed for children between 2 and 7.
Most participants wore pink shorts, shirts, or other items of clothing in order to support the cause of the day. At Klemick & Gampel, we understand the pain that an illness can cause. Statistics show that one out of every eight women in the United States will one day be diagnosed with breast cancer. About one in every four of those will be younger than 50 when diagnosed. Almost every person in America knows a family, friend, or acquaintance that has been diagnosed with this painful illness. The attorneys at the Klemick & Gampel are sympathetic, even empathetic, to the suffering of others. That's why they have chosen careers as personal injury attorneys. With this occupation, they can lessen the suffering and pain of others while seeking justice from those that caused the illnesses and wounds that victims are now faced with.
In addition to their desire to help people within their careers, they also like to give charitably in their spare time. This is why some of the staff members chose to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition to participating in the event, the firm sponsored the team members that raced by paying for their T-shirts and by providing food. This is just one way that the firm has shown that they are willing and passionate about giving to causes and helping those in need. If you are suffering and want a compassionate lawyer to come alongside you, make sure to choose someone charitable and kind, like the attorneys at Klemick & Gampel.
